An iPad is a bad impulse buy in a sale, because the useful one is rarely the one with the loudest percent-off. The useful question is which generation is still in stock, and whether the price on the screen is the Wi-Fi model you meant or a cellular model with twice the storage.
Flipkart's public Big Billion Days sale opens on 9 October 2026, with early access the day before. Amazon's Great Indian Festival sits on the same week. I opened the Amazon listings below on 4 October 2026, before that early access. The figure next to each iPad is the buy-box sticker that afternoon. It is not your checkout total. A card offer or an exchange can move it, and a restock can put a different model in the slot. This site has no Flipkart affiliate tag, so there is no Flipkart button here. If you shop there, read that page yourself.
He was sorting iPads by budget, not by chip gossip. A 10th-generation iPad if you only want YouTube, notes, and PDFs, hoped for around ₹25,000 to ₹30,000. An 11th generation on the A16, 128GB, around ₹35,000 to ₹40,000, if you can spend a bit more. A mini with the A17 Pro if you want it small, around ₹50,000 to ₹60,000, and he already warned that the offers on it would not look dramatic. An Air from about ₹75,000 toward ₹1 lakh, including older M2 and M3 stock if it was actually discounted. A Pro only if the money is easy, and then the M4 rather than the new M5, because he thought an M4 base could still be found under ₹1 lakh.
Two things he said are still the whole game. Older iPads show up as limited stock and then vanish. And the official pencil and keyboard are priced like a second product, so a third-party case is normal, while a third-party pencil is a compromise you should know you are making.
Buy the iPad, not an Android tablet you will resent in year three. Photos, notes, and the pencil habits move across. If your phone is Android, an Android tablet is the tidier match for files and chat, and the update story is still the weak part. A few of them get a long promise now. Most of the cheap ones do not. That is a reason to spend iPad money if you will keep the tablet for five or six years. It is not a reason to overpay for the wrong iPad.
The 10th generation is the entry model he meant. A14, a 10.9-inch Liquid Retina, USB-C, Touch ID, and 64GB on the base Wi-Fi version. I opened the blue, pink, and silver 64GB Wi-Fi pages. All three said currently unavailable. I am not going to invent a ₹29,000 sticker from an old snippet and call it today's deal. The link below is the silver 64GB Wi-Fi page, so you can refresh it during early access. If it comes back near the ₹25,000 to ₹30,000 band, that is the iPad he was pointing at. If it comes back at a cellular price, or only as 256GB, it is a different purchase.

The 11th-generation iPad is the A16 model with an 11-inch Liquid Retina. The video's pick was 128GB of Wi-Fi, a small step up from the 10th generation, not a different kind of computer. The 128GB Wi-Fi page in blue was unavailable when I opened it. So were the 256GB Wi-Fi and 512GB Wi-Fi pages I tried. What was in stock, with a real buy box, was a 256GB cellular iPad in pink.

- A16, 11-inch Liquid Retina
- 256GB, Wi-Fi 6 and 5G
- 12MP front, 12MP back, Touch ID, USB-C
- Apple Pencil (USB-C) or 1st generation, sold separately. Not Pencil Pro.
Read the storage and the radio before you get excited. This is not the 128GB Wi-Fi iPad the sale video put in the ₹35,000 to ₹40,000 band. It is the 256GB model with a SIM, in pink, and the buy box on 4 October said ₹79,900. You are paying for storage and cellular that a lot of people will never use. The chip is still the A16, the screen is still an LCD Liquid Retina, and the pencil that fits is the USB-C pencil or a first-generation pencil, not the Pencil Pro. Fine for YouTube, notes, PDFs, and a class. A poor way to spend eighty thousand if a Wi-Fi 128GB comes back nearer the new list price.
Keep the Wi-Fi page bookmarked anyway. If 128GB Wi-Fi returns during the sale, that is the configuration to compare. Do not let a pink cellular listing talk you into a SIM you do not need.

The mini is the odd one. People buy it because an 11-inch iPad feels like a laptop they did not want. The chip is the A17 Pro, the screen is 8.3 inches, and Pencil Pro works. None of that showed up as a discount on 4 October.

- A17 Pro, 8.3-inch Liquid Retina
- 128GB, Wi-Fi 6E, USB-C, Touch ID
- Apple Pencil Pro, sold separately
- Small enough for a jacket pocket
This is the one you buy because you want it in one hand on a train, not because the festival made it cheap. The video hoped for something between ₹50,000 and ₹60,000. The Space Grey 128GB Wi-Fi listing was ₹69,900, in stock, with no crossed-out MRP worth mentioning. That is a list price, not a clearance. The A17 Pro and Pencil Pro support are real, and the software support is the reason a mini still beats a random Android tablet two years from now. Just do not tell yourself you found a deal. You found the small iPad, at the small-iPad price.
Past the base model, the Air is where the video said to land if you want a premium iPad and you do not want to fund a Pro. You lose the tandem OLED. You keep an M-series chip, a full-size screen, and the same long software life. That trade was right when he said it, and it is still right. The leftover M2 and M3 stock he hoped would be cheap did not present itself as a 128GB listing I could price. The current M4 did.

- M4, 11-inch Liquid Retina, not tandem OLED
- 128GB, Wi-Fi 7, Touch ID, USB-C
- 12MP front and 12MP back
- Apple Pencil Pro and a keyboard, both extra
If you want one iPad and you are not editing for a living, this is the one. The video called the Air the all-rounder and said to look at leftover M2 and M3 models if they were heavily cut. I could not get a 128GB M2 or M3 Air to open as a live, priced listing. The Air that was in stock was the current M4, 128GB, Wi-Fi, Space Gray, at ₹85,490 against an MRP of ₹89,900. Five percent off a list price is not a festival miracle. What you do get is an M-series chip, Wi-Fi 7, and the same class of software as the Pro, on an LCD. You give up the tandem OLED. For notes, drawing, a bit of photos, and years of updates, that trade is the sensible one. 128GB fills up if you keep offline films and big games. Check a higher storage option before you pay, and do not assume it costs a little more. It usually costs a lot more.
The Pro is a thin computer with a ridiculous screen and a price that assumes you already own the pencil and the keyboard, which you do not. The video was specific. Skip the M5 if it is the expensive new one. Take an M4 if the base Wi-Fi model is still under ₹1 lakh, because the tandem OLED on that generation was already the best display in a tablet. I agree with the logic. I could not find the product. The 256GB Wi-Fi M4 pages were unavailable. The M5 Wi-Fi page was not.

- M5, 11-inch Ultra Retina XDR
- 256GB, Wi-Fi 7, Face ID
- 12MP front, 12MP back, LiDAR
- Pencil Pro and Magic Keyboard are extra
The video's advice was to skip the new M5 and pick an M4 Pro if the base model was still under ₹1 lakh. I opened the 256GB Wi-Fi M4 pages, silver and Space Black, standard glass. Both said currently unavailable. There is no under-a-lakh M4 to send you to. The Pro that was actually in stock is this M5, 256GB, Wi-Fi, Space Black, at ₹1,36,900 against an MRP of ₹1,39,900. The screen is the reason anyone pays it. Ultra Retina XDR is the tandem OLED, and it is in a different league from the LCD on the Air and the base iPad. The M5 is also more chip than notes and Netflix will ever use. Buy it if the display is the point and the money is boring to you. Do not buy it because a creator said the M4 was ₹90,000. That page was empty on the day I looked, and a cellular M5 I opened was ₹1,63,900, which is a worse idea unless you already know you need the SIM.
iPad Pro 11-inch M4, 256GB Wi-Fi, Space Black, on AmazonAmazon
- The percent-off on these pages is small or missing. Open the bank offers and see whether your card is on the list. An Amazon Pay ICICI card or a Flipkart Axis card is only useful if that exact offer is live for you. I am not promising a flat ₹4,000 off.
- Exchange is the other lever he mentioned, including an old Android tablet. The quote depends on the model and the pincode. Read it before you treat the sticker as the price.
- Prime members get Amazon's early access. Flipkart's early access is the day before the public sale. Older stock, especially a 10th-generation iPad or an M4 Pro, is the thing that disappears first. Refresh the page. Do not refresh your hopes.
- Notes, streaming, and a tight budget: the 10th generation, 64GB Wi-Fi, only if that page comes back in stock near ₹30,000. It was empty on 4 October.
- A current base iPad: 128GB Wi-Fi, if it returns. The 256GB cellular at ₹79,900 is the one that was in stock, and it is the wrong configuration for most people.
- You want it small and you can pay list price: the mini at ₹69,900. It is not a sale.
- One iPad for years, including a bit of drawing or photos: the Air M4 at ₹85,490, and only after you decide 128GB is enough.
- You want the tandem OLED and the money is already decided: the Pro M5 at ₹1,36,900. If the M4 256GB Wi-Fi page wakes up under ₹1 lakh, take that instead and ignore the M5.
None of these numbers are a promise. They are what the Amazon listing showed on 4 October 2026. The sale will move. Your card either has an offer or it does not. The iPad you take home is the one whose storage, Wi-Fi or cellular, and checkout total you read with your own eyes.
