Amazon offer

Amazon Great Indian Festival: SBI debit card offer, 12–20 October 2026

From 12 to 20 October 2026 the SBI debit-card window on Amazon is the one in SBI's own sale FAQ. It is 10% instant off, with a lower cap than the 8–11 October days. You do not paste a code.

MaxSaving does not take this discount off the bill. SBI and Amazon do, at checkout. The figures below are from SBI's Amazon sale FAQ, the debit-card document dated 9 October 2026. That document says this particular offer is not valid on credit cards. MaxSaving has not placed an order with it. MaxSaving is not Amazon.

What SBI's FAQ prints for these dates

SBI's FAQ says the offer runs from 00:00 on 8 October 2026 to 23:59 on 20 October 2026. The table then splits the caps. For 12–20 October, mobiles need a transaction of at least ₹4,990 and the maximum discount per debit card on that order is ₹750. All other categories need at least ₹2,490, and the maximum on that order is ₹1,250. The same table prints ₹1,250 as the maximum per card for this date band, excluding bonus.

The earlier band, 8–11 October, was higher: ₹1,000 on mobiles and ₹1,500 on other categories, with ₹1,500 as the per-card figure excluding bonus. Do not use those older caps on a purchase made from 12 October onward.

What this document does not cover

Question 6 of the FAQ says this discount is available only on SBI debit cards. It names credit cards, netbanking, and cash on delivery as not valid. Question 7 says it does not apply to credit-card EMI, down-payment EMI, or debit-card EMI. No Cost EMI is also out. A credit-card discount, if Amazon shows one, is a different offer. Read that tile on its own.

Amazon Pay balance cannot be selected. Exchange is allowed, and the minimum is judged on what is left to pay after buyback, refunds, and cancellations. Corporate and business cards are out. Magnetic-stripe and Maestro debit cards are out. An add-on debit card is treated as its own card.

  • Gift cards, prepaid recharges, and bill payments
  • Digital gold, Kindle e-books, and Kindle Unlimited
  • Amazon Pay balance top-up and Prime subscription
  • Infant nutrition, insurance, travel, movies, and Amazon Food
  • Installation orders, and some mobiles, TVs, and electronics marked ineligible on the product page

Bonus rows are not on every product

The FAQ lists extra flat amounts on select products only: ₹250 more from ₹14,990, another ₹250 from ₹17,490, up to ₹500 from ₹24,990, ₹500 from ₹34,990, up to ₹1,000 from ₹39,990, ₹1,000 from ₹49,990, up to ₹1,000 from ₹54,990, ₹1,500 from ₹69,990, and ₹1,500 from ₹84,990. SBI says the bonus resets only on select products and that the product page decides eligibility. A cart that merely crosses the rupee line does not earn the bonus.

Across the whole 8–20 October period, the FAQ caps the debit-card discount at ₹57,750. The base 10% refreshes daily. A cancelled order is adjusted back against the discount you already used.

Step by step: claim the offer

There is no code. The SBI debit card you pay with is the offer.

  1. 1

    Open the product on Amazon.in

Use the Great Indian Festival page or the product itself. Stay on amazon.in. A forwarded price screenshot is not the offer.

  2. 2

    Read the SBI debit tile

On the product, open the bank-offer line. It should name an SBI debit card and show a rupee cap. If the tile is missing, this FAQ does not make the product eligible.

  3. 3

Check the amount left to pay

Mobiles need at least ₹4,990 left after exchange. Other categories need at least ₹2,490. From 12 October the order cap is ₹750 on mobiles and ₹1,250 on other categories.

  4. 4

Pay with the SBI debit card only

Do not tick Amazon Pay balance. Do not choose EMI, netbanking, or pay on delivery. Visa or Mastercard debit, including an add-on card, is what the FAQ allows.

  5. 5

Confirm the line on the payment page

The instant discount should appear before you place the order. If it does not, stop. The base offer refreshes daily, so a cap used earlier in the day can already be finished.

Mistakes that waste the claim

  • Using the 8–11 October caps of ₹1,000 and ₹1,500 on an order placed from 12 October.
  • Paying with an SBI credit card, EMI, or Amazon Pay balance and expecting this debit-card table to apply.
  • Assuming a bonus slab because the cart crossed ₹14,990. SBI limits bonus rows to select products.
  • Choosing cash on delivery or netbanking. The FAQ excludes both.

Questions

Is there a coupon code?

No. SBI's FAQ applies the 10% when you pay with an eligible SBI debit card.

Does my SBI credit card use these caps?

Not this document. The FAQ says this offer is only for SBI debit cards. A credit-card tile on the product is a separate offer.

What is the cap from 12 to 20 October?

SBI's table prints ₹750 per debit card on mobiles and ₹1,250 on other categories, and ₹1,250 as the per-card maximum for that date band excluding bonus.

Can I combine it with exchange?

Yes. The minimum is the amount left after exchange. No Cost EMI is excluded.

Did MaxSaving test a checkout?

No. The numbers are from SBI's 9 October 2026 debit-card FAQ. Confirm the tile on the product before you pay.
